CHICAGO, IL (August 29, 2005) - Charter One bank today announced the official grand opening of their newest branch, located in the Hyatt Center building at 71 S. Wacker Drive. In celebration of the branch opening, Charter One will be hosting promotional activities and offering giveaways throughout the week. The Hyatt Center also houses Charter One's Midwest corporate headquarters.
The 49-story Hyatt Center opened on July 19, 2005 and houses a variety of offices. Located two blocks north of the Sears Tower, the Center was designed by Henry Cobb of the New York City firm Pei Cobb Freed, and features gentle curving walls of steel and glass, positioned as a gateway to the Loop.
Below is a list of events scheduled for Charter One's new branch opening in the Hyatt Center:
August 29 – September 2
* Free popcorn, refreshments and Charter One logo pens for our guests.
* Limited distribution of free one-way CTA farecards while supplies last.
* Scratch & Win iPod sweepstakes with ten i-Pod prizes, one per lucky ticket.
August 29
* 11:30-1:30 p.m. – WVAZ radio will be broadcasting from the branch location with free hotdog lunches being offered to the first 300 people.
* A raffle for four Chicago Cubs tickets to the August 31 game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
September 2
* Special grand opening drawing to win a $500 shopping spree.
* Drawing for autographed Chicago Cubs baseball.
